Bill Gates Champions Simplicity

Bill Gates has now emerged as one of the may advocates of radical simplicity in computer code writing. In a recent interview, he said that “There’s only really one metric to me for future software development, which is — do you write less code to get the same thing done?”
I think most people intuitively embrace this ideal, but many still wonder whether it is reflected in Microsoft’s products. Lesscode.org has more, and a link to the interview.

Good idea. I use Firefox and Thunderbird myself, and they’re both far superior. I pretty much ended my popup and spam problems, and they’re more flexible and secure.
Isn’t Mozilla mostly refugees from Netscape?

Mozilla is netscape, whatever left of it at least. I think they are independent entity now. I don’t now, I don’t follow the story closely.
